The Misr University for Science and Technology expansion project - (MUST) in 6th of October City has a total built-up area of 195,000 m2. The scope of work included constructing a semi-independent building that includes 3 basements, a ground floor, a first floor, and two typical floors. Construction work included 4 separate buildings connected by main corridors, metal bridges, and 3 basement floors, with waiting areas in each, as well as 2 administrative buildings (ground, 1st, and 2nd floors), with air conditioning rooms, elevators, and stairs. The project is divided into two phases of construction. Phase 1 includes excavation, backfilling, plain concrete, reinforced concrete works for foundations of about 150,000 m3, and reinforced steel weighing about 20,000 tons. Phase 2 includes all electromechanical works and high standard finishing.
