The Wind Farm in Ras Ghareb, Red Sea has a capacity of 250 MW. Work was divided into two stages: foundation works, and earth works. Foundation works included wind turbine foundations for the V105-3.45/3,60MW 67.5m HH, a wind turbine earthing system integrated in the foundation according to Vestas Specifications, and a 3-guy wire meteorological mast foundation. The earth works stage included constructing 18.2 km of approach road to access the Wind Farm. Part of the existing road going through the JICA wind farm from Hurghada to Al Ismailiya road is currently being reconstructed, with an area of 6 km being built from scratch, both in asphalt. 22 km of new internal roads, with a width of 7.5m are being built 20.7 km of new internal roads with a width of 4.5m are being built 70 crane pads for wind turbine erection are under development
