The development and expansion of the 2nd sector of the Ring Road in the direction of Al Salam Tunnel to before Al-Marj Bridge has a total length of 8.1 km from stations 800 + 45 to 900 + 53. All road works and industrial works for 17 bridges, tunnels and retaining walls were carried out. These included the Basaryat Tunnel with a length of about 16.30 m, the Sadat Axis Bridge with a length of about 99.33 m, the Tawarek Axis Bridge (Al Sail Drain) with a length of 135.98 m, and Al Adwia Tunnel work, and bridge works from Al Adwia to Trolley with a length of 27.20 m. Also falling under the scope of work were the Trolley Bridge (Al-Shurafa), with a length of 48.64 m, 53.33 m bridge works on Madrasa Street (Kafr Abu Sir), Chemical Tunnel (Al-Tawfiqia 1) that’s 28.36 m long, Zakah Organaization Bridge (Al-Tawfiqeya 1), with a length of 46 m, Belbeisi Drian Bridge (the ceramic market), with a length of 51.38 m, and Anani Canal (Samaha) Bridge with a length of 45.63 m. Rounding off the structures that fall under this project’s scope of work are Heikal Tunnel (passage 1), with a length of 20.77 m, Zohour Tunnel (passage 2), with a length of 19.20 m, Mohamed Naguib Tunnel (passage 3), with a length of 21.30 m, the 74.88 m long Belbeis Bridge (Al-Rashah Al-Belbeisi), 20 m long Lawader Tunnel works (passage 4), and finally, El Marg Bridge works, with a length of 600m.
