Eng. Sobhi Abdel Malak is a renowned engineer who joined Samcrete in the 1970s. Before joining Samcrete, Abdel Malak worked as an engineer in the Egyptian Railways Authority and the Egyptian Army. Abdel Malak then moved to Samcrete in 1975 and managed the company’s road projects. In 1977, he held the position of project manager for road and airports until 1981. Abdel Malak continued his journey within Samcrete till he held the post of the general manager of Samcrete Engineers & contractors and the managing director on behalf of Sonid. Abdel Malak is currently the Deputy Chairman of Samcrete Investments since 2010 and he currently sits on several boards within the group of companies including Samcrete, IDG, and Samcrete Investments. Abdel Malak is also the secretary-general of Arab Roads Organization, Board member of Egyptian Federation for Construction & Cuilding Contractors, and a member of the Egyptian Businessmen Association.
